Tradition, construction and the paraphernalia associated with western beach bathing co-mingle in a colourful and noisy mix on Seminyak beach: beach loungers and cushions wait expectantly for the return of sufficient holiday makers; a theodolite sight line navigates bronzed buttocks and a fish sculpture; a cafe remains closed but offerings are still made; an unabashed sun-seeker is spread-eagled to claim his space on the sand; and a lone fisherman passes by the small number of swimmers and joggers. Tourists are back on Bali but not yet in numbers to keep the beach stalls busy.

Yes, indeed. I was thinking to look for Bali among all the western influence. This collection reflects that a little but need a longer trip to do it justice. So busy here for a girl from Mannum. But it is a very welcome break. xkx
Thanks, Lois. It’s a busy place but there is definitely beauty to be found. xkx
