Sculpture & nature at Palmer

I recently enjoyed a tour of Greg John’s Palmer property where the work of an internationally renowned sculptor sits in a rolling landscape undergoing bush regeneration. The Story Tellas greet you at the gate: heads bowed modestly but exuding an endless patience to impart their ancient knowledge. I really enjoyed the sculptures and whilst I like the ‘large’ in the landscape,  I also like to discover the ‘small’ that can so easily lie unseen. My second photo is tangled  necklaces of casuarina inflorescences entwined in the understory. Final photo: a whorl marks the closed juncture of a long-lost grass tree limb and meets a lichen. Similar in their mute colours and maturity.

Ps Parrygraphs have been thin on the ground of late. If there’s things you want to see or hear about send me a message & it will encourage me to be more active on the blog!
