Here’s a taste of the varied personalities of the drystone walling in Wales: moss-softened and subsumed by forest; creating a double-walled path to define the Coffin Path – perhaps respecting the dead and protecting their pall bearers – and encircle St Celynnin’s church; providing intentional nooks to protect a walker’s cuppa; and climbing an impossible gradient up Yr Eifl to fulfill an unfathomable need. Just a few glimpses of the miles of walling that criss-cross the countryside.
Lovely photos again of course dry stone walls touch my heart. What date are you returning so I can make sure I’m not out of town ?

They were prolific wall builders. You would spend many happy hours wandering along them. But some of them climb to the steepest points on a hill. Unbelievable. I’ll drop you an email.
