The day’s forecast was for cloudy weather. But for half the day I walked above the clouds. Nice and sunny up there. It was one of the best day’s walking: feet good, nice and quiet on the track and breathtaking views of the top side of clouds that you would expect from a plane ride. I wondered what the medieval pilgrims would have thought about being above the clouds: celectial thoughts, I’m sure.
