The preparations for big sis’s birthday are swinging along: oodles of food has been purchased and bikes (including a skate bike) and games are being prepared. For me, even though it’s not my birthday, we’ve also managed to fit in a visit to a local cidery to help with fluids for the weekend. The array in the photo was all for the choosing. So I ‘m (I will share) now stocked up with 12 pints of three of the local cider and perry delights from Gwatkins Cider company: Silly Ewe opens the bidding at 4.5%, followed by Farmhouse Perry cruising along at a befuddle-inducing 7% and rounded off by Norman Cider with a guaranteed punch and knockout at 7.5%. I will drink responsibly but I expect to sleep well.

Happy Birthday to your sister and I think you should bring back samples – According to John Lambert this morning at coffee after Tai Chi, there are some local cideries intending to open a cider bar in Nairne.
Obviously something that you and I should check out when I’m back. Hope you’re well. xkx
