Welcome to Kalgoorlie

A few contrasting photos of Kalgoorlie’s main street and all taken a few metres from each other. Firstly, I was so sad – not – that I had missed the skimpy of the week. They’re not shy with their promotion . But I felt more at home just down the road at the museum, which had plenty of interesting things to see such as the bicycle in the previous blog. The third photo is, admittedly, a crap shot but the camper’s wheels are pointed towards the Nullabor tomorrow and I’m not doing a re-take. What you should be able to see is a gold-topped spire – obviously a fitting adornment given Kalgoorlie’s claim to fame. All ‘attractions’ say something about Kalgoorlie: gold, mining and leery lust.
