An earlier post showed a series of desiccated and dead trees deep in the Kalahari. Unlike winter in southern Australia, this is the dry season in southern Africa. Many of the trees that look dead are just waiting for some moisture to awaken them into full bloom …at least that’s how it seems to me. Yet there is great beauty in their naked form and it’s become a small obsession to snap the quintessential African tree profile. The following are some of my attempts … work in progress.
