Parry’s in Porto

A pleasant, very leisurely, day was spent wandering and grazing in Porto with my two sisters: visiting the Igreja dos Clerigos to view a delightfully carefree Mary tip-toeing on a tiered alter cake; climbing the Clerigos Tower to view small termite-humans emerging to fix damage to the orange veneer of this steeply-oriented town; and eating out … in several places (!) … including the Mercado do Bolhao, which is in much need to renovation but has vestiges of loveliness including the curving staircases specifically labelled up and down to cater for the hoards of market-goers in former bustling times.

    1. Hi Lia
I hope the open went well.
Yes, I am lucky but you’ll be pleased to know that I’m fitting in my work around the trips. But work is enjoyable too. So all round, doubly lucky!
Portugal was lovely. And again luck as on my side as we flew out form Porto around 7PM and our airline has been put into receivership the next morning.
