If you’ve been able to keep up with the blogs, you’ll know that the boat has stayed firmly tied to the trailer while Western Australia’s windy weather is blowing wild. Fortunately, this hasn’t entirely stopped fishing and kayaking but it’s certainly slowed down the water activity. Here are some of Rick’s modes of fishing: from the Hobie kayak on Munglinup Inlet; from the rocks, and also the next day from the kayak, on Young River in Stokes National Park; and off the rocks along the coast near Quagi Beach. Always the same lurid orange fishing outfit for Rick: helps him stand out if he needs pulling from the sea, I guess. The river fishing at Young River was the most successful yielding several keepable black bream, which provided a very tasty feed. Yours truly even helped catch a few: amazing for moi.
