Warren River: Warren National Park

I spent two nights in the Warren National Park: two nights wondering whether the camper was going to get back out. The track down to the river was closed not long after I went in and I had a slippery time reaching my camp ground. A heavy, low-slung, long wheel base vehicle—with a tonne of extra weight in mud collected on the way down—is not ideal for navigating steep muddy tracks. But a day spent hiking and paddling was long enough for the track to dry out. Phew! These two shots show the view down to the Warren River and from the river looking up. As you can see, the banks are thickly vegetated and the karri trees tower skywards. There was no one else on the river and I crossed paths with a family of four on the walking track. So, once again, I pretty much had a park to myself.
