Reviewing these photos reminded me of times gone by when you excitedly went to collect your printed photos from the chemist, only to find that parts of the picture were massively overexposed. Thank goodness for digital cameras. However, these shots—as you would have guessed from the blog’s title—are not overexposed and were taken from the top of the Yeagarup Dune system looking towards Yeagarup Lake. The dune is described in the park brochure as “a massive land-locked mobile dune system that is moving slowly inland, swallowing the forests and wetlands in its path”. This lovely location was an unexpected and quite extraordinary sight with the forest and lake oblivious to their fate.
