There is a dirt road that you can take to meander through Boranup’s karri trees: a dense, superb stand not far north of Hamelin Bay and isolated from Western Australia’s the main population of karri trees further to the east. I really should have spent more time here but I will have to ‘make do’ with the more easterly karri forests. But Boranup was a particularly beautiful drive.

Another of those easy shots. Driving through the forest and running late to camp up for the night. Apply brakes, dirt shoots up as I leave the road, apply hand brake and dash out of the car to take a few quick photos. The forest speaks for itself. Impressive … the forest, not me.
