Broome: mixture

Broome has been on my go to list since I first came to Australia. When Janet and I arrived on 5 September, I had mixed thoughts. As a fairly solitary sort of person, I’d been enjoying less peopled places: places with no generators, no traffic, no music etc where you can hear the sounds of the bush and your own thinking. But the morning after we arrived I did some Tai Chi practice with the local group, Janet and I started to look around and I eased into the place. So Broome hasn’t disappointed as there’s so much to see and do. Plus we arrived as Shinzu Matsuri – Festival of the Pearl – was just starting. In addition to previous Broome posts, this one is a mixed selection of Broome places and activities over the week and a half that I’ve stayed here. Now I back track for  3 weeks WWOOFing at Fitzroy River and Derby before returning to Broome and travels further south.
