Broome: ocean fish charter

Ooo, this was a stonker of a day out. Janet shouted Kanga Tours (aka Karen) an ocean fish charter from Broome. My tally was a trevally (compulsory acquired for bait and awaiting photo from Janets camera), a catfish (rejected as not being at all ‘nice’), something really tasty and big (that was grabbed by a shark), several unknown additional big fish that just grabbed the bait and/or took the line plus one 2+ foot mackerel (if I’m honest, this was 5% my effort and 95% the effort of the deck hand). We came back to camp with 1 and a half huge fillets of mackerel and a decent sized black snapper. Extremely good eating. The day also yielded 3 sea snakes, petrels, boobies (large sea birds – ha ha), humpback whales and sharks. Brilliant, brilliant day out. Thanks Janet!
