Of course it’s compulsory for Parrys to visit places with Parry in the name. But what a top spot! A Ramsar wetland and bird watching spiced up with saltwater crocodiles. The birdlife was amazing but the croc put on quite a show: chasing fish, hauling out on the bank to sunbathe, doing regular disappearing tricks under the water weed, showing off his/her sinuous swimming style and, finally, giving us a considered look. We lost quite a few hours enjoying the wetland: finches, plethora of herons, brolgas and jabirus to name a few species. Beautiful.
