I spent three nights in Keep River National Park: great camping spots and some lovely walks. The boabs are very photogenic. The one in the photo is a tiddler compared to the 70m circumference giant that the ranger was telling me about. But I haven’t seen others climbing like this one. I had an enjoyable late afternoon experience watching the white-quilled rock pigeons flying around. They make a lovely whistling noise as they flap their wings, coast around corners and then dart into crevices. They seem to fly singly and strut around a bit together before repeating the solo flying to the next crevice.
